I just received this lovely photo and note. What a privilege it is to make a living from creating things that make people smile!
'Hi David, my name is Margaret. My husband has bought me 'comfort food'. I am absolutely over the moon and he makes me smile whenever I look at him! I thought I would send you a picture of where he is in our house'.

Introducing..... Vroom miniature! (36cm long x 24cm high) fresh from the foundry.
Vroom is one of my favourite sculptures but he's way to big for most peoples sideboards. I have a feeling that the miniature version will be much more popular.

I love receiving messages like this!

David. Very exciting day.

"Comfort food" arrived very smoothly. Work colleagues very impressed.

Sculpture looks so much better in real life!!
Thank you so much for turning your imagination into something we can all share and cherish.

I look forward to smiling everyday for years to come.

Happy Christmas

Buy with bitcoins!

For a brief trial period I will accept payment for my bronzes in bitcoins. I don't know whether this is a crazy thing to do or not but I am fascinated by the concept and the more people who are willing to accept it, the more interesting it will become. Let me know if you have bitcoins and fancy spending one or two on a bronze sculpture.

The price will be set at the current exchange rate with a small discount as incentive to pay with bitcoin

Sigh! Why can't these people come up with their own ideas?!
This turned up on ebay.

The opening event for our sculpture garden. A lovely afternoon spent with friends and previous customers. I was very honoured that some people had travelled several hours to visit.

The sculpture garden is now officially open to visitors. Please send me an email or call me on 07977 546087 if you'd like to visit.

Another one from the archive. This is 'Sneakweed', One of the mischievous garden goblins. He is bringing Japanese knot-weed to plant in the garden. I love the photo with my son Harry peeking over the plinth!

A life study. I am regularly asked how I get my goblins to look so life-like. The answer is that it is not possible to invent convincing human-like characters without first spending a lot of time studying humans.

Another old favourite, 'The Drinker'. The original bowl had to be replaced, first with a shell and then with a leaf, because the water flowed down his arm and off his elbow.

Delving even further back into my archive now! 1989 at Madame Tussauds. My portrait of Yasser Arafat, from a sitting held at 3am in a PLO safe-house in Tunis. The chap with the gun was one of his security guards.

This was the sculpture that started my goblin collection! 'Snailmaker'. I created this intending it to be a one off project, just for myself. I had no idea what it would lead to.
My Sister-in-law Nikki was designing a garden for Chelsea Flower Show and asked if she could borrow it. It got a lot of TV coverage and people started calling and asking if they could buy it.

If you have sent me a message and not received an answer, it's likely that you made a typo when entering your email address. I have had several email delivery failures recently. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm ignoring them. If you haven't heard from me, please try again or email me at info(at)david-goode.com. Thanks.
